Frances E. Boggs, 87, formally of Brookings, SD died on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at the Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, February 12, 2010 at First Lutheran Church in Brookings, SD. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home, (507 S. Main Ave.) in Sioux Falls, SD. A visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service at First Lutheran Church. Rudes Funeral Home in Brookings is in charge of arrangements.

Frances Fran E. Wolfe was born on September 17, 1922 at Lafrank, West Virginia the daughter of Otie and Rassia (McMillian) Wolfe.

She spent her early years and graduated from high school in Plymouth, North Carolina. Upon graduation from high school she attended South Dakota State University in Brookings.

Fran was united in marriage to Jobie “Boggsie” Boggs on February 16, 1943 at Plymouth, North Carolina. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends, and really enjoyed quilting. During the summer months you could find Fran outside in the garden caring for her produce.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Brookings, South Dakota and a member of the Ladies Circle at the Church.

Fran is survived by her children, Sharron (Robert) Martin of Des Moines, IA, Thomas (Cindy) Boggs of Sioux Falls, SD, Larry (Rose) Boggs of Temecula, CA, Phillip (Carol) Boggs of Des Moines, IA, Terri (Joel) Reinke of Sioux Falls, SD, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jobie on October 31, 2006, parents, and all of her brothers and sisters. Fran passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, SD.
