Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Monday, March 26, 2012 at Rude’s Funeral Home with a Liturgical Wake Service beginning at 7:00pm.

Vic Miller was born on August 18, 1933, in Haynes, ND, the son of Jacob and Margaret (Jochim) Miller. He received his education in Lemmon, SD and enlisted in the United States army in 1955. After his discharge from the military, he worked in road construction at several locations in North and South Dakota. On December 28, 1959, Vic was united in marriage to Vi Roller in Hope, ND. With three children starting school, Vic decided he wanted to be home. He was then employed, as a meat cutter, at Lynn’s Super Value, in Lemmon, SD.

In 1971, Vic and Vi purchased Freymark Clothing in Lemmon, SD, and later named it Miller’s Clothing. They continued to own and operate the store until their retirement in 1991, when they moved to Spearfish, SD. While living in Spearfish, Vic enjoyed delivering cars for several auto dealers and seeing the sights of Spearfish Canyon. After living in Spearfish for 15 years the couple moved to Brookings, SD to be closer to their family.

Vic is survived by his wife, Vi of Brookings and their three children; Pam (Dan) Bell of Brookings, SD, Kevin (Theresa) Miller of Rapid City, SD, Dean (Michele) Miller of Waconia, MN; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother Jake (Rosemary) Miller of Belle Fourche, SD; three sisters-in-law, Delores Miller of Lemmon, SD, Phyllis Miller of Custer, SD, and Florence Miller of Rapid City, SD and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
